Tips for Vibrators
Vibrators are generally the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of sex toys. No wonder they're the most common adult toy, you find them in a variety that is sure to please all sexual desires, and as a sex toy they are the easiest to get acquainted with if you are new to the fun world of sextoys. And when you have eventually scraped the courage together to buy one, you might discover that picking a vibrator is not the easiest thing as there are literally hundreds of different kinds.
To make your life a little easier, we've broken it down for you.
Styles
Traditional vibrators are available in a variety of different styles, most
of which can be categorized into the following groups:
Slimline Vibrators: These more traditional ones are usually made
from plastic and are often called "smoothies". If you're new at the game
of sex toy exploration, this option has proven to be quite a popular choice.
Slimline vibrators can induce powerful orgasms from both internal and clitoral
stimulation. Their frictionless exterior makes slimline vibes a poor choice
for thrusting movements, but the gentle internal pressure can be quite nice.
Realistic Vibrators: If you're looking for the real deal, you can
have it veins, testicles and all. Internally powered by batteries, these
vibrators are perfect for people who love intercourse with a powerful twist.
Personal Massagers: A feminist favourite resembling anything but
the male member these discreet vibrators are ergonomically designed to fit
the female body and have a slightly hourglass shape.
Vibrator Sleeves: These "vibrator condoms" are made to slip over
slimline vibrators. Sleeves are made from silicone, Cyberskin, jelly or
rubber. Sleeves can resemble anything from penises to knob-studded cucumbers
to cute little bunnies, and produce an enticing and versatile array of sensations.
Apart from different styles, vibrators also come with different controls:
Simple Base Controller: Straightforward, classic vibrators, such as rockets and slimlines have very simple "on/off" controls on the base of the vibrator. This has the benefit that you don't have to think too much while using your toy. If you want to be more adventurous and vary speed or intensity during play, this might not be the unit for you.
Complex Base Controller: Some vibrators come with a multitude of features and will have a multi-toggle control on the base of the vibrator with separate switches for each function. The disadvantage is that it might be difficult to use during solo play when you have to stretch your hand all the way to the base to change intensity or movement while you're using it.
Hand-Pack Controller: Much like a joystick control, some vibrators have a hand-held control that is connected to the vibrator by a cord. This enables the user to easily control the speed of the vibe during play. The disadvantage here could be that the cord gets in the way during partner play. However, the benefit of the hand pack during solo play should be obvious.
Wireless or Remote-Control Pack: Definitely a winner! These vibrators are great for solo or partner play without any wires getting in the way. The only downside to this type of vibrator is the cost as they tend to be pricey. Also, many models of vibrators don't offer a remote-controlled version.
